Büyük Kulüp — Poolside Washrooms

The washroom and shower volumes serving the poolside areas of Büyük Kulüp in Kadıköy, Istanbul were reworked around the needs of the existing building with a more contemporary, hygienic and user-focused approach.

The project set out a restrained and timeless design language alongside material choices suited to heavy use, durable and easy to maintain. Pale beige and natural stone-effect surfaces, white details and warm timber textures carried the ease of the poolside into the interior.

Wide mirror surfaces and linear counter solutions in the washbasin areas created a functional arrangement several people can use comfortably at once. Pendant fittings and controlled ambient light softened the technical character of the volume.

Privacy, ease of cleaning and circulation led the WC and urinal areas, while the shower zones use semi-open partitions, durable surfaces and floor solutions appropriate to wet use.
