Alaçatı House
A whole house that begins in the shade of a stone facade and pergola, built from travertine, pale timber and linen.

The story of the Alaçatı House begins in the shade of the stone facade and the pergola. The living room opening to the garden, the open kitchen and the dining area share the daylight, while travertine, pale timber and linen establish a common warmth. After the quieter bedrooms we return to the terrace, closing the sequence on a table laid outdoors.
Because the shared spaces work as a single volume, the kitchen becomes part of the table rather than being pushed behind it. The same material palette continues into the bedrooms while the light drops away; the house changes its own rhythm through the day.
