A dark timber surface becomes a wall composition through fine horizontal and vertical divisions. First the scale of the panel within the room, then the grain and the joints. Two frames, a quiet move from whole to detail.
The spacing of the divisions is wide enough for the panel to read as a single surface from across the room; up close, the grain and the joints become part of the composition themselves.
