Built from natural texture and quiet colour, this commercial interior was designed to create a warm, welcoming retail experience in which the products come first.

The arched wall niches that set the character of the room are a plainer, more contemporary reading of a classical architectural form. The natural timber shelves within them sit with the pale beige and earth tones so that the display areas become an architectural part of the space rather than an addition to it.

Small-format tile on the service and display counters adds a tactile layer, balanced by timber detail and warm-toned surfaces into a more natural, timeless atmosphere. Black track lighting and large surface luminaires pick out the products while holding on to the warmth of the interior.

Circular wall shelves, display units at varying heights and seating mean the space works not only as a point of sale but as somewhere a visitor can discover the products and spend time.

The approach was to build a strong brand atmosphere within a minimal design language, and to join the commercial function to a warm, natural and memorable spatial identity.
