Rota — Armchair

Navy-and-white stripes bring movement to the plain silhouette of the dark timber frame. Turning from the front view to the side profile, the series moves in towards the red stitch at the edge of the fabric. The final frame is a profile alternative, set against a clean ground so the form can be read on its own.

The red stitch makes the boundary between striped cloth and timber explicit rather than hiding it — a small decision that shows how the piece is put together.
